Lib Dem action gets big improvements for local residents

The Acton Area Committee agreed proposals to make major renovations of the Acton Green playground, to install new lighting in a number of roads in Southfield, and to improve the look of the 94 bus terminus.

The streets to benefit are: Acton Lane, Beaumont Road, Fletcher Road, Reynolds Road and Steele Road.

Lib Dem Cllr Gary Malcolm says: "The playground will be a real enhancement to the area. Residents will be consulted soon to determine what types of play equipment will be bought as part of the playground renovations."

Also as part of other lighting enhancements gained the following list of streets in Southfield will be improved:

Antrobus Road, Bollo Lane, Bridgman Road, Cunnington Street, Montgomery Road, Rothschild Road, Kingswood Road, Beaulieu Place, Seymour Road, Church Path, Fairlawn Avenue, Fairlawn Grove, Ivy Crescent, Kent Road, Ravenscroft Road, Temple Road, Weston Road, Cleveland Road and Wolseley Road.
