Cllr Gary Malcolm fighting the rail cuts

Gary Malcolm, Lib Dem parliamentary spokesperson, has highlighted that Ealing did not consult people about the cuts to rail services at Acton Main Line and other local stations in Ealing.

The Council were sent information in August 2003. It was then the council should have expressed its views at various meetings and put up a fight to stop the proposals from coming into reality. But the council did nothing!

Cllr Gary Malcolm said: "It is a shame that the Labour party who run the council will not say sorry for this mess. Residents will now have to suffer trains that are already congested, getting more congested. It will be hell for many residents I have spoken to."

Gary Malcolm added: "Lib Dems are now trying to see what can be done to reverse the rail cuts at the earliest opportunity."
