Success In Campaign To Improve Play Facilities in Southfield

Cllr Gary Malcolm At New Playground in Southfield
Lib Dem Ward Councillor Gary Malcolm was at the opening yesterday of the new playground in the Southfield Recreation Grounds, which is adjacent to Acton Vale.
There are a range of slides, swings and seesaws for the children to use. Over the weekend someone damaged one small climbing frame.
Cllr Gary Malcolm said: ""It was good to see so many children having fun on the new playground. The playground is very colourful and really brightens up the place."
Gary added: "It is sad that one person or group decided over the weekend to damage one of the pieces of equipment before the playground was officially opened. The council made a commitment yesterday to replace it very quickly which is good news."
