Cllr Jon Ball visits the Council's new Response centre
Labour-run Ealing Council has ditched faulty computer programs written for the new Response project intended to improve Ealing Council's customer service and have hired in experts to write replacement programs.
Local Lib Dem Cllr Jon Ball, who is vice-chair of a committee set up to scrutinise the Response project says, "Improving Ealing Council's ability to deal with residents' problems is long overdue, but the Council has wasted taxpayers' money in the way it has gone about tackling this project. In particular, if contracts with suppliers had been watertight, the Council wouldn't have ended up footing the bill for these IT failures."
