Your hard-working Focus Team achieved our best ever Liberal Democrat result in Cleveland ward on 4 May. We got more votes this time than the Conservatives did here at the last Ealing Council elections in 2002. As we predicted, Labour came a poor third. Next time we will do even better!
The detailed result was:
The highest Liberal Democrat (Francesco Fruzza) was only 88 votes (0.7%) behind the lowest Tory. A swing of only 45 votes would have elected him!
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported us. As you can see from the result, we are now the real opposition to the Conservatives in Cleveland ward.
The Cleveland Focus Team will carry on working in our community and will stay in touch with local people.
