Harvey Rose, Lib Dem Councillor and Chair of the Southfield Ward Forum
Councillor Harvey Rose chaired the initial Southfield Ward Forum in September where over 50 residents attended.
The forum's remit is to gather viewpoints on council matters and spend a budget of £40,000. Topics raised included:
? Problems that some residents are having with alleyways that now have double yellow lines. Councillor Harvey Rose agreed that an investigation should take place to see what can be done to improve things;
? Road safety problems in Bollo Lane and Acton Lane;
? Damage to Acton Green from circuses;
? Installing benches and litter bins on Acton Green & Acton Green Common;
? Alley-gating schemes;
? A possible new 272 bus stop on South Parade.
The next meeting will take place at 7.30pm on Wed 26th November at the Acton Green Church Hall in Cunnington Street.
Harvey Rose said: "It was good to see many people attend the meeting."
Harvey Rose added: "At the next meeting we will formally agree to spend the annual budget of £40,000. So if you have any ideas of what you want to see this spent on, please let us know."
