? Why Ealing Council is likely to lose over £2 million invested in a now failed Icelandic bank, especially after first saying that it had no investments in any Icelandic banks;
? Why the Conservatives allowed Council staff to visit the Cote d'Azur for an expensive training event;
? Why our Conservative Council lost an estimated £1 million by not hiring a tough negotiator who would gain money from developers to compensate residents for problems caused by new developments;
? Why the Council has received a huge number of complaints from residents to the Ombudsman;
? Why the Council allowed things to get worse leading to an estimated £1 million of liability claims for pavement falls and the like.
Cllr Gary Malcolm said: "Conservative Ealing Council likes to only remember certain facts but the Ealing Liberal Democrats have uncovered a lot of examples of where they have wasted residents money. In times like this the Council needs to buckle down, improve front-line services and avoid wasting council taxpayers' money ."
