Conservative Ealing Council Failed When a Computer Virus Attacked Recently
Ealing Council's emergency disaster plans failed when a computer virus shut down its internet and telephone services for nearly a week!
The failure of the Conservative council is expected to cost a fortune as many extra staff were hired to clean hundreds of Council computers.
Councillor Gary Malcolm said: "Heads must roll. The council's disaster recovery plan IS a disaster! Other councils have systems that kick in if power is lost or a website server goes down. They have a separate copy of the website which can be used temporarily until the website gets up and running again."
Gary added: "Liberal Democrats say that many residents have been put out. And some will have lost out financially. I fear the bill for the Council's failure will be large given the large number of contractors hired to clean the hundreds of council computers."
