On Tuesday 21st April Southfield Councillor Gary Malcolm handed in to Ealing Council a petition that had approximately 150 signatures which seeks to avoid the damage that is being caused by the large number of vans when the funfairs occur.

Over the past couple of weeks Councillor Malcolm received many complaints about the noise and the problems with litter and damage to the ground relating to the increasing number of funfairs.

Councillor Gary Malcolm said: "A lot of residents in the area are annoyed at the damage caused by the funfairs. It appears that the large number of funfairs and the way the Council do not take charge when the funfair vans arrive has meant that a lot of damage is caused to the ground."

Gary added: "I want someone from the Council Events Team to be present when the funfair arrives and leaves as well as protective matter placed on the ground so that Acton Green is protected."
