Dangerous Pothole in Southfield Road that Lib Dems Got Removed Quickly
Councillor Gary Malcolm writes to update you about a local matter that you may have seen recently in Southfield Road; the big pothole by the E3 bus stop.
"The big pothole, full of water (see photograph) was pointed out to me by a resident on Sunday afternoon. At the time, the Liberal Democrat team were in the area knocking on doors and making contact with residents.
I immediately contacted the Highways Department of Ealing Council and also mentioned the problem to the local police, highlighting the potential hazard particularly for cyclists and the fact that people waiting at the bus stop were getting soaked by spray, splashed by passing vehicles."
To ensure the road was repaired quickly local Liberal Democrats contacted the Council again on Monday to confirm that the problem was logged and received a commitment that the work on the pothole would be carried out. On Wednesday, Andrew Steed re-inspected the site to find the hole filled and Thames Water completing the re-surfacing of the road having fixed the water leak.
Job done! Another problem solved by the Liberal Democrat team.
