Acton Green Flooded Recently
At the Southfield ward meeting this week it was mentioned that Acton Green will be the first green space to make use of the Council's new plan to reduce drainage problems.
Acton Green has suffered from a lot of damage because of some of the hirers of Acton Green have damaged trees, the ground and caused drainage issues over many years of failing maintenance.
Councillor Harvey Rose and Gary Malcolm have been active in pressing for residents' views to be heard and the council has now pledged to take a stronger line against those who hire Acton Green.
Councillor Gary Malcolm said: "Acton Green is a great place where people can walk their dogs and play sport with their families. It has been a shame on one hand that the Council didn't look after it but good that they have now listened to residents and the local Liberal Democrats, pledging to improve things."
