Southfield Liberal Democrats gain 94 bus commitment

Your local Liberal Democrat team have gained a commitment that the 94 bus will not disappear from its current terminus in Acton Green.

The confusion first arose when the Conservative Council Leader threatened to remove the bus stand because of noise problems caused by drivers who do not turn off their engines when stationary.

In advance of a local ward meeting the Conservatives issued a statement stating they now want to see the current service continue!

Andrew Steed said: "We believe that the 94 bus should continue to serve Southfield at its current frequency, including the popular night service."

Andrew Steed added: "It is crucial that a solution is found to the anti-social behaviour by drivers and when buses cause local congestion. The shame of this situation is that the Council has not used the powers it already has to stop rogue behaviour. Liberal Democrats have put forward proposals for residents, councillors, Council transport officers and the bus company to sit together and find a solution for everybody."
