Councillor Gary Malcolm and Caroline Pidgeon GLA member, with many residents, outside Turnham Green tube station
Southfield Liberal Democrats organised a large 'demo' outside Turnham Green Tube Station to continue their campaign to get Piccadilly Line tubes to stop there all day.
Councillor Gary Malcolm handed a document to Caroline Pidgeon, Lib Dem London Assemly Member, which she will pass to the Mayor of London asking for a meeting to discuss the possibilities of a 6 month trial to extend the short early morning and late evening stops at the station (which are often un-announced so customers either get to the wrong destination or miss out).
Councillor Gary Malcolm was also joined by Southfield Lib Dem candidate Andrew Steed and Councillor Andrew Dakers from Hounslow which shows that this is a big issue that affects both the Ealing and Hounslow sections of Chiswick.
Councillor Gary Malcolm said: "The local Liberal Democrats have campaigned consistently on this issue for many years as this is something residents in the area want strongly. If a genie gave me three wishes, I would use one of them to get the Piccadilly line to serve Turnham Green throughout the day. This would benefit many thousands of residents in the locality."
