Ealing Southall Lib Dem Nigel Bakhai reports a pothole in Eccleston Road, West Ealing
Ealing Southall Lib Dem Nigel Bakhai is leading a campaign to fix dangerous potholes across the borough. Nigel, who regularly cycles to work, believes that Tory-run Ealing Council is failing in its duty to maintain roads leading to numerous potholes which are potential hazards for pedestrians and cyclists as well as damaging to road vehicles.
Nigel Bakhai said: "Parts of the Uxbridge Road are so bad that it looks like the surface of the moon and it is extremely dangerous for cyclists if your wheel is trapped or if you are a pedestrian and your foot gets caught trying to cross the road. The Tories claim that they are spending more money on road maintenance than the previous Labour administration but only five roads in Elthorne ward where I live will be resurfaced in the next year out of nearly 90 roads in the ward. At that rate it will take 17 years to resurface the whole ward!"
Nigel added: "I urge residents to sign our online petition and to report local potholes to their local Lib Dems".
