After many years (decades) of hard work involving himself in a large range of community activities, Liberal Democrat Tony Miller received the Ealing title of Honorary Freeman. This is the top title that can be bestowed on a resident by Ealing Council.
At the meeting Councillor Rose gave a snippet of entertaining stories and activities that Tony has spent much of his spare time doing, to help improve Ealing. Tony then made a speech thanking the Council for the award. He thanked his wife for all the support she has given him over many years of hard work.

Some of the work he has done to deserve the award was as follows:
Ealing Liberal Democrat Leader Gary Malcolm said: "Tony is a fine example of someone who has given up so much of his own time to help others and fight for what residents deserve from Ealing Council. He is someone who is an expert in a number of areas and often is a thorn in the side of the Council when they have tried to introduce mad ideas like the tram. Well done Tony."
