Lib Dem Councillor Tasting School Meals

Ealing Council has set up a new committee to look into school meals. The Chair of the committee is Lib Dem Councillor Harvey Rose. The scrutiny panel has wide powers to make recommendations to the Council's Cabinet if action is needed.

There has been much controversy recently about the often poor quality of school meals. Lib Dems want all schools to provide tasty, recognisable meals that are balanced and nutritional.

Cllr Harvey Rose, Chair of the Meals Panel, said: "I was very encouraged to see a full range of lunches which everyone tucked into with relish. There is clearly a much greater awareness of the importance of healthier food."
