Local Lib Dem Nigel Bakhai comments on David Cameron

Local Lib Dem Nigel Bakhai commented on the Conservative leadership election, "The Tories now have their fifth leader in eight years in David Cameron. The Tories think they have found the new Tony Blair. Well they may have - Cameron is all spin and no substance. It is going to take a lot more than rhetoric to turn the fortunes of the Conservative party around.

"In Ealing Southall as in many parts of the country, it is the Liberal Democrats who are the main opposition to the Labour Government. On the issues that matters to local people in Ealing, it is the Lib Dems who have provided the consistent and principled opposition to tuition fees, ID cards, council tax and the war in Iraq. Britain doesn't need two conservative parties."
