A Labour leaflet referring to 'Virendra Sharma MP'

Lord Rennard, Chief Executive of the Liberal Democrats, has slammed the arrogance of the Labour campaign in Ealing Southall after the party delivered a leaflet naming their candidate as 'Virendra Sharma MP'.

Chris Rennard said:

"Labour's assumption is incredibly arrogant.

"It is yet another example of the way that Labour have taken this area for granted over the years.

"Instead of assuming people will vote for him, Mr Sharma should be dealing with the problems of local people.

"Labour's campaign has never got off the ground. The Tories have admitted they cannot win.

"People here want change and they are looking to Nigel Bakhai to deliver it."
