Cllr Gary Malcolm Asking for Views on local Bus Services

Local Lib Dem councillor for Southfield ward, Gary Malcolm, received an email from Transport for London informing him of possible changes to local buses - 440, 27 and E10 - which would now serve the area or run with slightly different routes to include the new Chiswick Business Park offices.

• It is proposed to extend route 27 from Turnham Green to continue along Chiswick High Road and terminate within Chiswick Business Park. The route would no longer serve the bus stop in Heathfield Terrace.

• There are proposals to extend route E10 beyond Ealing Broadway to Chiswick Business Park. This will provide new links from Ealing to South Acton and Chiswick Business Park.

• It is proposed to alter route H91 to run along Chiswick High Road between Turnham Green and Chiswick Roundabout. The changes would reduce journey time travelling through Chiswick and allow for easier interchange with Gunnersbury Station. The route would no longer serve Town Hall Avenue, Heathfield Terrace, Wellesey Road and Oxford Road North; these roads would be served by route 440.

• Route 440 is proposed to be extended from Turnham Green to Power Road. The extension will provide new links from Chiswick Roundabout and Gunnersbury to Acton and Park Royal.

Cllr Gary Malcolm, Lib Dem Transport spokesperson said: "To ensure that Transport for London get more residents' views about the proposals I want more people to hear of them and to give myself and TfL their views."

Residents can contact Cllr Gary Malcolm using gary.malcolm@ealing.gov.uk. Residents can also visit the following Transport for London website for more information and let them know direct via www.tfl.gov.uk/busrouteconsultation

The consultation will run until 15 August 2008.
