Local Liberal Democrats have called for new ways to manage Gunnersbury Park, after the confusion caused by the latest U-turn by Ealing Tories.

After tough questioning from Liberal Democrat councillors, but without consulting Conservative Hounslow Council, Ealing has now agreed to pay for part of the repairs needed for the Park buildings. This means that Hounslow also has to commit to finding money, which it has so far refused to do.

Andrew Steed, part of the team which fought to save land in the Park from being sold off for housing, has demanded new, independent management to remove the uncertainty and ensure full funding in the future.

Andrew said: "We have met Liberal Democrats in Hounslow to see how we can work together to get their Council to change their position."
