Protected Warren Farm
In 2023-2024 the Ealing Liberal Democrats called for the whole of Warren Farm to be designated as a nature reserve to protect the valuable biodiversity and wildlife.
The Ealing Liberal Democrats joined forces with local community groups to oppose the Labour-run Ealing Council's proposal to turn as much as half of Southall's Warren Farm land into a large sports facility. We called for the whole of Warren Farm to be designated as a local Nature Reserve to protect endangered species in London like Skylarks, promote biodiversity and save green open spaces for the physical and mental health benefits.
The online petition to protect the site was signed by over 20,000 people.
